The role offers an on-target annual salary of £52,940, including a base of £50,000 and approximately £2,900 in gratuities.
About the role
As the Senior Head of Meeting & Events Operations, you will be central to our dynamic team, shaping the future success of our meetings and events department during a pivotal year in The Belfry’s history. Your leadership will ensure we continue to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional events.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the entire operations of 24 conference rooms and the new 920-seater Masters Suite.
2. Drive revenue by identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and developing sales strategies.
3. Lead and motivate the largest hotel department, ensuring smooth execution of events from small meetings to large conferences.
4. Implement initiatives to maintain high standards of guest experience from inquiry to event completion.
5. Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
6. Anticipate industry trends, optimize facilities, and seek growth opportunities.
7. Collaborate with senior management, sales, and other departments to maintain industry leadership.
8. Require extensive experience in large-scale meetings and events management, preferably in a hotel or conference setting.
9. Demonstrate strong communication skills across multiple platforms.
10. Work efficiently under deadlines, managing multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
11. Show proven leadership skills to motivate and develop teams.
12. Possess an in-depth understanding of the meetings and events industry, including market trends and client needs.
13. Focus on operational efficiency and detail orientation.
14. Build strong relationships internally and externally.
15. Be passionate about delivering world-class events and uphold high standards.
