You will bring a fresh, forward-thinking and collaborative approach to the role which is central to the continued improvement of the Acute Services we deliver.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the Sector's Emergency and Acute Medicine provision and patient flow model.
* Be accountable for the strategic and operational delivery and development of the Service.
* Support delivery of the Sector’s aims and aspirations for Better Care, Better Health, Better Workplace and Better Value.
* Report to the Director for the South Sector and ensure delivery of high quality, safe and efficient patient centred services to meet local and national targets.
* Develop the Sector’s patient flow model in collaboration with other Sector General Managers to maximise resources and deliver patient care efficiently.
Qualifications and qualities
* Significant senior-level experience in operational management in healthcare or a comparable complex environment.
* Strong influencing and leadership abilities; capable of inspiring confidence and leading in a politically sensitive and demanding environment.
* Ability to foster a strong, patient-focused culture that encourages initiative, responsibility and open communication.
