PMO Lead – Operational Change
Our client is on a mission to transform the UK’s digital infrastructure, and they are looking for a PMO Lead to drive operational change across all four of our portfolios: Products, Legendary Service, Scaled Platforms, and Brilliant Basics.
As the PMO Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our Operational Change Group, supporting the Head of Business Change and Release Management and the Head of Process and Service Design. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring structured governance, effective reporting, and seamless coordination of projects and resources to deliver outstanding business change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop tools and processes for capturing and managing change demand.
Provide clear reporting on portfolio progress, supplier activity, and delivery performance.
Champion best practices in portfolio management, ensuring visibility of risks and interdependencies.
Drive governance and control, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders, project managers, and third-party suppliers to ensure effective execution of change initiatives.
Monitor and track PMO activities using appropriate project management tools.
Ensure business cases drive change initiatives and benefits are realised.
Promote data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in project delivery.
What You’ll Bring:
Strong experience in PMO leadership within an agile environment.
Expertise in project governance, risk management, and process improvement.
Proven track record of delivering automated solutions in a fast-paced, customer-centric organisation.
Excellent planning, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience working with BPO outsourcers and tech suppliers (desirable).
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
Strong knowledge of project management software (PPM, MS Project, etc.).
Telecoms industry experience.
Knowledge of organisational functions such as Marketing, Product, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and Operations.
