Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Clean Energy Generation
Leading project developer in renewable energy assets throughout the UK is seeking a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor. The role involves supporting project delivery from development through construction and handover, focusing on high-value projects such as Energy Storage Assets (+100MW), H2 Ready Thermal Power Plants, and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets. These projects entail installation of significant equipment, M&E, and civils activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in risk and value management, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring quality. Backgrounds in M&E, Renewables, O&G, Thermal Power, or large-scale infrastructure (Data Centres, Civil Infra) are suitable.
Key requirements:
* Experience with various contract forms, especially NEC suite (ECC accreditation preferred but not essential)
* Experience in heavy Civils/M&E/Energy works in a main/principal contractor setting (preferred)
* Contract experience on projects exceeding £10m (desirable)
Key responsibilities:
* Manage change processes, risk, and early warning registers to minimize costs
* Prepare enquiry documents, review work scopes, negotiate contracts, and draft final documentation
* Administer contractor payments, assess costs, and manage disallowed costs
* Maintain cost reports, earned value analysis, and report to senior management
* Provide commercial support to site management
* Foster professional relationships
Location: Projects are throughout England, with offices in London.
