This roleis for a Band 5 Qualified Nurse in mental health for full time hours over5 days a week (working hours and days can be flexible in the hours of 9-5Monday to Friday)
The rolewill be based at the Redditch Neighbourhood Community Mental Health team, whichis a growing and dynamic team with a range of multi-disciplinary professionalswith a wide range of knowledge and skills to welcome the new applicant for thisrole into the well establish and friendly team to ensure you feel welcome and empoweredto take on a great opportunity within the team.

Main duties of the job
Be thelead on Clozapine, Depot and physical health clinics.
Administerdepot injections to all of the patients open to the team for depot medicationsthis will include administering in our on-site clinic room or some may needoutreach where you administer out in the community in patients homes for thosethat may not be able to come to a trust base for their medication to beadministered.
Clozapineclinic will entail the post holder to undertake 4 weekly blood monitoring forthose patients that are on Clozapine medication, continual monitoring andordering of the regular clozapine medication for patients, there may be somepatients that have been on an inpatient ward and started on Clozapine or retitrated so may need weekly blood monitoring in line with our clozapine bloodmonitoring policy for up to 14 weeks to then reduce to fortnightly andeventually 4 weekly if all blood results are in range and safe to reduce to 4weekly.
Conductregular weekly physical health clinics for patients under the service thatrequire physical health checks which includes bloods, ECGs, height weight andBMI checks to ensure we are checking patients especially on anti-psychoticmedications, Depots and clozapine are having yearly checks for physical health.

Job responsibilities
Reporting thephysical health checks back to the GP and if any have any concerns withphysical health IE Blood pressure concerns, raise accordingly within the teambut also the GP to continue to monitor if any blood pressure concerns needingfurther investigation/treatment through the GP in primary care.
You may also be required to support othercolleagues in the team on two person visits, you will not be holding a caseloadbut would be expected to help and support other colleague in the team on twoperson visits if required.
