Job Introduction Location: Dudley, West Midlands Salary: £37,938 - £40,476 (Grade 9) pro rata Directorate: Children’s Services – SEND Team Contract Type: Part Time 18.5hrs | Flexi-time available Car Allowance: Casual DBS Check Required Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs? About the Role As a Case Officer in our SEND Team, you’ll play a vital role in managing statutory assessments and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people. You’ll work closely with families, schools, and professionals across education, health, and social care to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities Manage casework from referral to completion of statutory assessments. Draft and amend EHCPs in line with statutory timescales. Liaise with parents, schools, and multi-agency partners. Attend and contribute to reviews, panels, and tribunals. Monitor educational outcomes and funding use for pupils with EHCPs. Provide expert advice and training to schools and settings. What We’re Looking For A strong understanding of SEND legislation and processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
