Job Description:
Position: Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 2 ASC Class.
Location: Burgess Hill
School Overview: Join a dedicated SEND school in Burgess Hill, committed to supporting children with diverse needs, including challenging behaviour and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Role Overview: We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support a Key Stage 2 ASC Class. This role is ideal for recent graduates or degree holders, though a degree is not mandatory. Training sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays (4-5pm) and Fridays (2-5pm).
Responsibilities:
* Support students with Autism in Key Stage 2, both individually and in groups.
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to deliver engaging lessons.
* Attend training sessions, including online modules, to develop skills in supporting students with special needs.
* Participate in an eight-week induction and regular reviews to ensure ongoing support and job satisfaction.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students, fostering a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Degree or recent graduate status preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs.
* Commitment to professional development and ongoing training.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience with ASC or special educational needs is desirable but not required.
