Your next role
This key operational role supports the delivery of high-quality Country Parks services, helping to enhance biodiversity, conservation and the overall visitor experience. Reporting to the Lead Ranger, you will play an important role in managing park activities, supporting projects and working with partners, volunteers and contractors.
You will contribute to the day-to-day running of the service, coordinating activities, supporting improvements across sites and helping to develop opportunities that maximise the potential of the borough’s parks.
The role includes project support, stakeholder engagement, report writing and responding to enquiries from residents and members.
You will also help monitor performance, maintain accurate records and support initiatives that improve health, wellbeing and environmental outcomes for the community.
Working flexibly across the service, you will contribute to a positive, solutions-focused culture aligned with council priorities.
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in parks, conservation or environmental services. You will have strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a passion for delivering high-quality public spaces. A relevant qualification in environmental or conservation management is desirable.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
Potential applicants are sometimes put off if they don’t meet 100% of the requirements. We think individual experience, skills and passion make all the difference, so if you meet the majority of the criteria, we’d love to hear from you.
