Key Information
* Salary: £38,682 to £46,580 per annum (£30,945 to £37,264 for 30 hours per week) – in line with Agenda for Change Band 6.
* Hours: 30 hours per week.
* Locations: Wellington or Williton.
* Pension: Membership of the NHS Pension Scheme; auto‑enrolment with optional additional voluntary contributions.
What will I be doing?
* Lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, identifying care packages based on Universal, Targeted, and Specialist service models.
* Provide leadership and supervision to the Public Health Team, delegating appropriately within Somerset Local Authority policies.
* Take responsibility for child outcomes and collaborate with partners to address public health needs.
* Develop and foster professional relationships and networks with families and key partners.
* Provide children 0‑5 with services promoting physical, mental, emotional health and wellbeing.
* Contribute to multi‑agency early support assessments and take lead professional role where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
* NMC registered Nurse or Midwife with an SCPHN qualification.
* Interest in holistically addressing health needs of children aged 0‑5 and their families.
* Full valid driving licence and access to a car for work.
* Adjustments considered in line with Equality Act 2010.
