Job Description
As a Drives Control Application Software Engineer, you will develop Control Application Software for GE Vernova’s Electric Drive Systems. You will be involved throughout the product development lifecycle and work within a multidisciplinary team. Projects include developing software for megawatt-scale power electronic drive systems for Marine, Naval, Energy, and Industrial applications. You will validate software using Hardware In the Loop (HIL) rigs and laboratory testing, support system commissioning, ensure performance and reliability, and collaborate across teams. Travel to customer sites may be required a few times per year for validation and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, validate, and maintain application software for high-power electronic drive systems.
* Validate software with HIL rigs and laboratory tests.
* Develop software interfaces for peripheral equipment.
* Support commissioning and validation of electrical drive systems.
* Ensure designs meet performance and reliability standards.
* Integrate control software into larger systems and verify functionality.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Document technical details thoroughly.
