An opportunity to join a highly ambitious private equity backed business based in South Manchester. Internally this role will be highly visible and be a key member of the central finance team, working closely with the Financial Controller and CFO.
Offering a hybrid working policy, this business is renowned for hiring and developing its staff in a supportive environment. Ideally suited to an ACA qualified Accountant looking for a second, more senior role in industry, main duties will include;
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with local standards and statutory requirements
* Own the general ledger, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Lead statutory accounts preparation and act as the primary contact for external auditors
* Ensure timely and compliant tax filings, including VAT returns and corporation tax support
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, meeting tight reporting deadlines
* Partner with FP&A and commercial teams to provide financial insight and variance analysis
* Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and documentation
* Support system improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting policy changes
* Manage and mentor junior finance team members where applicable
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects such as acquisitions, integrations, or process transformation
