Senior Social Worker - Risk and Independence Specialist Advisor and Reviewing Practitioner
We are looking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our friendly, supportive, and exciting Risk and Independence team in Adult Social Care services within Northumberland County Council. This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, and is fixed-term for a 12-month period.
The successful candidate will be based at County Hall, Morpeth. Salary is Band 10, £48,710 - £52,805. The service operates county-wide across Northumberland.

Main duties of the job
* Have a good working knowledge of legislative frameworks underpinning Adult social care practice and promote positive risk assessment to enable service users to maximize their independence, life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
* Share Northumberland County Council's vision of a council that works for everyone and embodies its values.
* Possess excellent report writing and communication skills to confidently and effectively liaise with a wide range of service users, professionals, and providers. The team comprises highly skilled social workers with strong commissioning links. The team is supportive and inclusive, encouraging knowledge sharing and discussion of case work to ensure safe, robust, appropriate, and cost-effective care planning.
* Work county-wide, offering consultation, delivering training to adult social care community teams, and conducting project and development work. Complete high-quality Care Act assessments, sharing knowledge and skills to ensure person-centred care plans that meet clients' needs effectively and robustly.
* Engage in case work across all Adult Social Care services, including Care and Support, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Head Injury Services, and Transition cases. Also, carry out county Care Management reviews.

* Social Work qualification and valid SWE registration.
* A valid, clean UK driving licence with access to a car for travel purposes.
