ROLE: Junior Estimator
LOCATION: Chesterfield

We're looking for a Junior Estimator who will support our Custom Solar team in delivering high‑quality, accurate estimating services across our Power and Grid business unit.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Support the Estimating team with administrative and project‑related tasks.
2. Assist in preparing estimates for tender submissions using drawings, specifications, and site information.
3. Help prepare Bills of Quantities and measured take‑offs.
4. Liaise with project managers, procurement, commercial, and design teams.
5. Research and analyse costs for materials, plant, and subcontractors.
6. Obtain quotations from subcontractors for packages of work.
7. Contribute to weekly commercial meetings.
8. Conduct site visits with the wider commercial team where required.
9. Ensure all work is completed in line with internal processes and governance.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
10. Minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
11. Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills.
12. High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
14. Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a supportive environment.
15. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
16. Previous experience in a supporting role within an Estimating team.
