Job Description:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school team in Great Kimble from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role will allow you to work in a nurturing and engaging environment, where you can make a real difference to the educational journey of young children.
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to children in Years 1 and 2, helping to foster a love of learning, personal development, and positive social and emotional growth. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team to ensure the delivery of a stimulating curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across all subjects in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
Create an inclusive, inspiring, and well-structured classroom environment that supports students in reaching their full potential.
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to aid academic development.
Differentiate lessons to ensure all learners, regardless of ability, are challenged and supported.
Promote a culture of respect, kindness, and responsibility within the classroom.
Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them updated on their childs progress.
Actively participate in school meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Ensure students' health, safety, and well-being at all times.
Key Requirements:
A valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2).
A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young children in their academic and personal growth.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage young learners.
Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and school improvement.
Desirable:
Experience working with children with additional needs (SEN).
Knowledge of current educational initiatives and best practices.
