Role
Lecturer to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexible teaching across weekdays, evenings and weekends.
What you’ll be doing
Enjoy all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment while keeping up to date with field developments and student support practices.
Responsibilities
* Planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met
* Developing, updating, and improving course materials
* Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
* Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
* Keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices
* Working towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You
* Master's degree in Accounting and Finance field from UK or equivalent from PSRB's; full member (PhD desirable)
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar subjects
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
* Experience of accurate reporting and maintaining thorough and organized student records
* Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritize own workload to meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
* Fully qualified from PSRB's affiliates such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA
