Overview

ROLE: General Sales Manager
LOCATION: Hemel Hempstead
SALARY: 60k basic, 80k OTE + car + great benefits

New exciting opportunity for a General Sales Manager / GSM to join our client’s dealer in Hertfordshire.

You need to be driven and ambitious with proven success.


Responsibilities

* Lead and develop the Sales Executives within your team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the organisation and its current and prospective markets.
* Provide guidance to Sales Executives during negotiation processes, assisting in finalising agreements and closing sales.
* Collect and analyse market and customer data to identify opportunities and trends.
* Collaborate with other managers to negotiate variations in pricing, delivery timelines, and product specifications.
* Offer insights on upcoming product developments and coordinate special promotional initiatives.
* Monitor stock levels and product displays, providing advice to Sales Executives to ensure effective inventory management.
* Maintain close communication with the production team to monitor vehicle progress and act as a key contact throughout the process.
* Regularly evaluate personal sales performance, striving to meet or surpass established targets.
* Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and their specific requirements to offer tailored solutions.
* Facilitate the ongoing training and professional growth of Sales Executives within the team.
* Conduct routine performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and encourage continuous improvement.


About you

* Proven ability to identify and execute key success factors that drive business growth, profitability, cost efficiency, and high levels of employee and customer satisfaction.
* Proven expereince within a management role in the automotive sector
* Strong leadership skills, with a focus on fostering customer satisfaction and building loyalty.
* A hands-on approach to leadership, paired with financial acumen.
* Exceptional negotiation skills across various levels of the organisation.
* Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
* A keen eye for detail, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for outstanding customer service.
* Solid understanding of industry trends and best practices.
* Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
