To undertake the day to day supervision of the booking and scheduling staff members including Colposcopy support secretaries, providing an efficient and high quality booking and scheduling service to support the Directorate. You will be required to ensure cover throughout the operating hours of both teams; 08:00 – 20:00 reception desk and 08:00 – 17:00 admin office.
Responsible for providing a comprehensive and proactive administration service ensuring high quality and professional delivery of administration services to clinicians throughout the Women’s & Children’s Division.
Provide line management and leadership to the admin teams and support their development ensuring a business and service focused approach. Ensure staff are supported and working to their full potential and provide development opportunities.
All overseas qualifications must be proved comparable to UK standards through ENIC.
Main duties of the job
We seek an experienced individual who has a proven ability to undertake operational supervision of teams of staff and to demonstrate effective leadership, organisational and communication skills.
You will be someone who can effectively switch between tasks, supervise teams across a broad range of services and have a proactive approach to motivating teams through continuous support, mentoring and training.
You will be skilled in staying calm under pressured circumstances, have a solution focused approach and be an excellent team player who is able to go above and beyond to support staff and patients within our service and in the wider trust.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Duties to include but not be limited to:
1. Provide a key link between outpatient/inpatient teams and admin team.
2. Liaise with other disciplines and departments, both internal and external to provide an effective exchange of information for the benefit of patients.
3. Maintain good relationships, communicating with all disciplines of staff within the Trust and relevant external agencies
4. Responsible for the supervision and training of staff within the department to ensure that day to day all services can be provided within your area of responsibility

Essential criteria
5. Good standard of education including being competent in Maths and English. A minimum of 5 A-C Grade GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent
6. ECDL or equivalent experience
