About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mains Services Team Lead to join our Technical Events Team. This is a hands‑on, multi‑skilled role suited to a professional with an electrical bias, who thrives in a fast‑paced, live‑events environment. This role requires flexibility, strong leadership skills, and a positive, solutions‑focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Event Delivery & Planning
* Lead the installation, testing, and removal of temporary mains services for live events
* Plan and organise work schedules to meet challenging event deadlines
* Work collaboratively within the wider Technical Events Team to ensure seamless event preparation
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Ensure all works are carried out in line with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
* Adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks
* Promote safe working practices and maintain a safe working environment at all times
Administration & Reporting
* Accurately document all tasks in line with managed services procedures
* Maintain electronic and paper records using site‑specific systems
* Report on asset condition, identifying required upgrades and repairs
Financial & Resource Management
* Manage consumable stores responsibly to prevent waste
* Support efficient use of materials and resources
Customer & Professional Standards
* Present a professional image at all times
* Deliver excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders
* Maintain and develop technical and professional skills through continuous learning
Additional Duties
* Support other areas of the managed services contract when required
* Undertake additional duties as requested by management
Skills & Experience (Desirable)
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Plumbing
* City & Guilds 18th Edition
* City & Guilds 2330 / 2360 Level 3 or equivalent
* Awareness of other mechanical services such as compressed air and gas
* Strong communication skills at all levels
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Forklift driving licence

Accountable to the Technical Events Team Supervisor
