Role Description
Reporting to the Managing Director for Instant Access Europe Limited, we are seeking a proactive IT Manager to oversee our internal technology environment, ensure ongoing business compliance, support general organisational compliance requirements, and provide expert support for external customer IT enquiries. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical person who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels at strengthening security posture, and enjoys supporting end users – both internally and externally.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Internal Systems Management
* Oversee the performance, security, and reliability of all internal IT systems and infrastructure.
* Manage servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, and business applications.
* Implement and maintain system monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
* Manage IT asset management, ensuring hardware and software inventories are accurate and up to date.
* Evaluate and enhance IT systems to support evolving business requirements.
* Recommend and implement technology solutions that drive efficiency and security.
* Manage IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Oversee relationships with third‑party vendors and service providers.
Ensure Compliance with Business Standards
* Implement and maintain the organisation’s Cyber Essentials Plus certification ensuring all IT practices and policies meet accreditation requirements.
* Collaborate with external consultants, assessors and internal teams to implement requirements for ISO 9001 and 27001 accreditations.
* Conduct regular audits, vulnerability scans and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Drive continuous improvement in cyber hygiene, business processes and security awareness across the organisation.
General Compliance
* Ensure all IT operations and processes comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
* Support organisational compliance with GDPR, data protection, and privacy regulations.
* Maintain and update internal policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
* Assist with internal and external audits and provide evidence when required.
* Promote best practices for data handling, retention, and secure information management.
External IT Support
* Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and timely support to external customers.
* Assist with troubleshooting, incident resolution, and escalation management.
* Maintain customer-facing documentation, FAQs, and technical guides.
* Serve as a technical point of contact for customer projects or onboarding activities.
* Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Expertise
* Proven experience and interest in IT and technology developments
* Understanding of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, data protection, and organisational governance.
* Expertise with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking, and security tools.
* Excellent troubleshooting abilities and a customer-centric approach.
* Strong documentation, organisational, and communication skills.
* Background in customer support or service delivery.
* Experience in ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.
* Proven experience in IT management, systems administration, or similar technical leadership role.
* Strong understanding of Cyber Essentials Plus controls and certification processes.
* Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or ITIL.
