This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting and maintaining the smart infrastructure of an iconic transport hub.As a Smart Buildings Infrastructure Technician, you’ll be responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of advanced smart building systems, including copper and fibre network infrastructure, Audio Visual systems, Electronic Security, IoT devices, and both wired and wireless networks.You’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same.To be considered for the role you will need to haveA minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a similar ICT/smart tech installation roleSolid understanding of copper and fibre network infrastructureA valid ECS/CSCS CardA Recognised cabling qualification (e.g. CNCI®, CNIT®, BICSI Installer Level 2/3)Full, clean UK Driving LicenceStrong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safetyIt would also be highly desired to have PASMA and/or IPAF certifications, be First Aid trained and have any experience working in an airport, transport hub, or other critical infrastructure site. Any experience installing containment systems (conduit, basket, tray) would also be richly welcomeFlexibility is key in this role, as occasional night work and overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.You will be responsible forInstalling, terminating and testing copper (Cat5e/6/6A) and fibre optic cabling (OS1/2 & OM3/4/5)Installing Audio Visual, IoT, Wi-Fi, Electronic Security and networking devicesBuilding and installing network equipment racks and containment systems (tray, basket, conduit, trunking)Supporting system commissioning, maintenance, and fault diagnosisCompleting documentation and test results to industry standardsComplying with all on-site Health & Safety and RAMS protocolsWorking from technical drawings and scopes to install and support ICT infrastructureA competitive Salary & Benefits: + overtime awaits the successful applicant.
