This position is full time only and advertised at 37 hours per week.
Role
Senior Digital Portfolio Manager – you will manage and coordinate a dynamic portfolio of projects to deliver secure, resilient, and assured communications and information services that support the MOD and the Armed Forces. You will establish governance and assurance frameworks, monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and prepare the business for seamless change.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate programme resources and planning processes including requirements management, product development, milestone definition, and financial profiling.
* Monitor complex change delivery performance by analysing project and programme data, identifying trends and themes.
* Provide control and coherence over approvals and out-letter requirements through tracking and engagement.
* Ensure compliance with acquisition safety, quality, continual service improvement and business continuity.
* Provide programme assurance through conducting assurance reviews with relevant deployed programme leaders.
You will drive service and programme reporting, lead and manage a diverse team of SSO staff including Civil Servants, Military personnel, and contractors, and ensure collaboration across all levels. You will oversee governance, boards, and meetings to keep strategic goals on track and identify, collect, and benchmark data on time, cost, and quality to inform smarter decisions and continuous improvement.

Person specification
Your work will be varied, challenging, and fast-paced. You should be flexible and adaptable, able to strategically solve problems and design project structures to meet life-cycle requirements. You should have excellent communication skills, adapt your style, and be comfortable networking across the business to challenge and influence decision-making.

Salary and benefits: Alongside a salary of £59,690, the Ministry of Defence contributes £17,292 toward a Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
