Key Roles and Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in executing daily lesson activities and maintaining focus.

Lead tailored reading, phonics, and writing interventions for groups of varied abilities.

Provide empathetic 1:1 support for students with emotional, behavioural, or learning difficulties (SEND).
*
Organise classroom equipment, distribute learning resources, and manage classroom displays.
*
Ensure a safe environment during morning drop:offs, lunch breaks, and outdoor play.
*
Communicate pupil achievements and any behavioural notes clearly to the lead teacher.
Requirements for the Role
*
Practical experience working alongside young children (school, nursery, coaching, or volunteering).
*
Good communication skills and a confident command of spoken and written English and Maths.
*
A patient, warm, and proactive demeanour with a willingness to learn on the job.
*
An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
*
Ability to work effectively as part of a fast:moving, multi:disciplinary school team.
