We are partnering with a leading housing organisation to recruit an experienced Category Manager to join their high-performing procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take ownership of strategic sourcing and category management across a varied and high-impact portfolio.
Please note this is a 12-month contract initially and offers flexible working with 1-2 days a week in the London Office.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver effective procurement and category strategies to ensure value for money
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance and innovation
* Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions
* Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
* Provide management information on category spend and procurement efficiencies
* Lead continuous improvement and ensure best practise procurement across the organisation
Essential skills and experience:
* Proven experience applying Public Contracts Regulations to end-to-end procurement
* Track record of delivering complex, high-value procurement solutions
* Experience in technology-related procurement and contract management
* Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
* CIPS qualification (or studying towards)
