The Orthopaedic Unit at NHS Grampian, Dr Gray’s Hospital wishes to recruit one Specialist Doctor in Trauma and Orthopaedics to join a team of 4 Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. This is a full time permanent position (10 PA’s).
Dr Gray’s Hospital is situated in Elgin, the county town of Moray. The surrounding area is considered to be of outstanding natural beauty. This post offers a unique opportunity to practice surgery in an area with a high quality of life, excellent schools, affordable housing and superb recreational facilities.
The hospital serves a population of about 132,000 and provides emergency and elective surgical services within the hospital and at selected community hospitals. There are good links with Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which is a Tertiary Referral and Major Trauma Centre. Supporting staff include 1 Specialist Trainee, 1 Core Trainee and 4 Foundation Doctors. The Hospital enjoys a strong association with the University of Aberdeen and takes final year medical students.
