Position: Freight Coordinator L ocation: Southampton Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (APPROX) Salary: up to £35,000 (DEO) We are recruiting for our client, who is growing their experienced team. They are a leading a specialist in multimodal freight solutions across the UK and globally. The Role: As a Freight Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating both import and export shipments, with a particular emphasis on road freight and courier services to begin with. Experience in ocean & air freight is highly desirable, as you will be supporting the team moving forward. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate end-to-end freight movements (road, courier, air and ocean) Prepare and issue shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs declarations Provide timely and competitive freight quotes to clients and internal teams Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and overseas agents Ensure compliance with import/export regulations Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to stakeholders Maintain accurate records in freight systems and databases Requirements: Experience working with a UK-based freight forwarder is essential!
