Overview
A Vacancy at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Diabetic Foot Clinic treats people with foot disease and wounds as a result of Diabetes. We are a team of Podiatrists and work alongside Consultants, Nurses, Shoe fitter and other health care practitioners. We see patients who have complex foot disease, such as ulceration, poor circulation and nerve damage. We are an outpatient clinic based at The Elsie Bertram Diabetes Centre and are open Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm.
Responsibilities
* Join our team of podiatrists and HCAs to help manage an increasing caseload.
* Assist clinicians by moving patients to and from the clinic, dressing removal, and assisting with casting.
* Record patient observations and assist with footwear/offloading fitting.
* Book appointments, maintain the clinical environment, and keep stock stocked.
* Work across the main NNUH site and the satellite clinic at Cromer hospital.
* Support the delivery of patient care under the supervision of registered professionals.
* Participate in tasks and carry out instructions relevant to the area to support patient care (e.g., collection of blood, preparation of equipment, collecting medications or equipment).
* Participate in audits as required and develop self-awareness, resilience, relationship-building, self-care and adaptability.
Hours and Location
The role will be split between the main NNUH site and Cromer hospital. Hours anticipated: Wednesday to Friday with a short day and two longer days.
