Job Overview
MPACT are looking for a Commercial Quantity Surveyor to support our Commercial Manager, Pre-Construction and Commercial departments. The role includes cost planning, bill preparation, subcontractor procurement, commercial administration, client valuations, subcontractor accounts, variation management, and final accounting. The Commercial QS will protect project commercial interests, ensure strong cashflow, assess risks, and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers while supporting dispute avoidance and efficient delivery.
Responsibilities
Pre-Construction
· Cost Planning and estimating support
· Subcontractor procurement and tender enquiries
· Preparation of bills of quantities and schedules of work
· Tender analysis and recommendations
· Client engagement and commercial input at design stage
Construction & Post Construction
· Raise purchase orders
· Assess subcontractor valuations and certify payments
· Prepare and submit client valuations
· Manage variation registers
· Measure drawing revisions and update cost forecasts
· Prepare and agree final accounts with our Commercial Manager
Experience
* Proven experience as a Fit-Out Estimator or similar role within the construction or interior fit-out industry.
* Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Experience interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
* Experience managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
Desirable
Knowledge of cost management systems such as Sage 200
Familiarity with standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT, SBB)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
