The Boeing Team at RAF Brize Norton plays a vital role in supporting the Royal Air Force Customer. Boeing’s C-17 has served the UK armed forces for two decades, providing strategic airlift, mobility, humanitarian, and disaster relief support worldwide. We have a large team working directly with the C-17 operational team, offering real-time, critical assistance at the point of delivery. We are seeking a candidate to provide retail supply and tooling operations onsite at RAF Brize Norton, ensuring reliable support for the operation. This role operates on a two-week rotating shift pattern (Monday-Friday day shift, followed by Monday-Thursday evening shift with every other Friday off).
Responsibilities:
* Use applications such as TCMax, GOLDEsp, WoW, MJDI, PUBLOG, Haystack, C17 Technical Orders, and cargo tracking.
* Issue and receive high volumes of hand tools, test equipment, and FLAP.
* Check tool kits for serviceability and replace or demand new tools as needed.
* Replenish consumable tool kits as required.
* Loan tools in and out of tool stores to other units at Brize Norton.
* Conduct a 100% tool check at the start and end of each shift.
* Support maintenance teams with part issues and face-to-face queries.
* Manage PPE and uniforms.
* Conduct physical inventory, including stocktaking, reporting, shelf-life reviews, scrapping, cycle counts, and resolving inventory errors.
* Stock, store, and issue C-17 managed and RAF-owned materials, including parts from the Defence Logistics Agency, Air Mobility Command, repairables, consumables, and FLAP.
* Provide demand and requisition status for all managed parts and customer-owned parts.
* Induct and support repair cycles for repairable assets and components.
* Operate company van for collecting parts from the main entrance.
* Support warehouse quality and safety audits conducted by Boeing, customers, and regulators.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience with warehouse MHE and manual handling of parts/equipment safely.
* Experience in defence or aviation is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
* Understanding of Foreign Object Damage/Debris and its airworthiness implications.
* Knowledge of Airworthiness Maintenance processes and Aviation Engineering Orders.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position requires the ability to obtain UK security clearance, for which UK residency is required. The successful candidate will hold or be able to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
