The role: Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) - SEN School Location: Royston, Hertfordshire -Cambridgeshire border Contract Type: Full-time -Permanent About the Role: Simply Education is proud to be working with a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join their multi-disciplinary team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of communication difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language delay, developmental disorders, and complex learning needs. As a SALT in this setting, you will: Carry out speech, language, and communication assessments Develop and implement tailored intervention plans Deliver individual and group therapy sessions Support classroom staff in embedding communication strategies Contribute to EHCPs and liaise with families and external professionals About You: To be successful in this role, you will need: A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience working with children and/or young people with special educational needs Excellent communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young learners Requirements: Valid HCPC registration Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Safeguarding Statement: Simply Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
