HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Filton, Bristol. This role is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver / Truck Driver / CE Driver. Shifts: Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm & Friday: 7am – 12pm Rates of Pay: • £18.47 per hour Benefits: As a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing, reliable work • Weekly pay • Training provided • Immediate starts available Day-to-Day Duties: As a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Yard shunting around site • Operating and manoeuvring Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently within the yard • Completing daily yard and vehicle checks in line with site rules and health and safety guidelines • Ensuring all trailers and loads are positioned and secured correctly • Adhering to traffic laws, site regulations, and company procedures • Communicating effectively with transport and warehouse teams (radio use is essential) • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver, you will need: • Minimum of one year's experience driving Category CE vehicles • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements) • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • Good understanding of UK traffic laws and regulations • Strong communication skills Desirable Experience: • Experience working within a fast-paced yard or logistics environment Training : • Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply If you are ready to take on this opportunity, apply today People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
