Help us tell the story of the Red Cross for neurodiversity. We are a neurodivergent-led CIC seeking a creative lead to manage our digital presence. Help us reach the 1 in 5 people who are neurodivergent by sharing actionable intelligence and building our Workplace and Community programmes.
What difference will you make?
Your work is the bridge between our expertise and the people who need it. By leading our social media, you ensure that the 1 in 5 people who are neurodivergent in the UK know that practical, functional support is available. You are the voice that tells them they do not have to struggle in silence while waiting for an assessment.
Through our Workplace Programme, we aim to reduce the 2.4 billion pound cost of neurodivergent burnout to UK businesses. Your content will help educate HR teams and leaders on the difference between equality and equity, moving the needle toward better-designed workplaces for everyone.
Our Community Programme provides free tools for those in the 5 plus year diagnostic limbo. Your lead on social media will help these resources reach the families and individuals who need them most, ensuring that our survival toolkits are in the hands of those who are currently struggling without answers.
What are we looking for?
While not a requirement for this specific role, we highly value neurodivergent lived experience. You should have an intuitive understanding of how to communicate with a neurodivergent audience—prioritising logical, straightforward information and avoiding sensory overload in digital design.
Professional Skills and Background
We are looking for a communicator who understands that social media is a tool for systemic change. We explicitly welcome applications from self-taught individuals. You do not need a formal degree or a corporate background to lead here; we value your actual output and your ability to learn and adapt.
Ideal skills include
* Digital Communication Experience in managing social media channels, particularly LinkedIn, for a brand, a personal project, or a non-profit.
* Content Creation The ability to write clear, compelling copy and create high-impact visual assets.
* Strategic Thinking An understanding of how digital content fits into a wider organisational mission to bridge support gaps.
The Mindset
The most important quality is your alignment with our culture. We are looking for a person who
* Is No-Stiff You prefer clear, actionable intelligence over corporate "fluff" and performative hashtags.
* Values Logic You can take complex organisational concepts and break them down into simple, accessible messages.
* Is Empathetic but Professional You understand the emotional weight of the 5-year waitlist crisis but can communicate solutions with authority and calm.
* High Agency As a self-taught or self-driven individual, you are comfortable taking ownership of your work and finding creative ways to solve problems.
You do not need to be a "Guru." We are looking for a reliable, creative lead who is passionate about building a permanent organisation that makes a real difference.
What will you be doing?
Intellectus Strategies CIC is a neurodivergent-led organisation that bridges two major gaps inclusive workplace systems and the 5-plus-year waitlist for NHS assessments. We provide the operational scaffolding that helps organisations and individuals thrive. We are currently looking for a Social Media Lead to help us communicate our mission and grow our impact.
The Goal
We want to move the conversation from awareness to infrastructure. Your goal will be to manage our social media channels (primarily LinkedIn, but we are open to suggestions) to ensure that neurodivergent professionals, employers, and funders understand the practical, sustainable support we offer.
Key Responsibilities
* Content Strategy Working with the board to translate our core mission and research into engaging, actionable social media posts.
* Channel Management Managing our presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms to build a community around our Workplace and Community programmes.
* Visual Narrative Creating or overseeing simple, high-impact visuals that reflect our No-Stiff, professional, and radically honest brand.
* Community Engagement Responding to comments and messages to ensure Intellectus remains a welcoming and responsive resource for the neurodivergent community.
* Campaign Support Helping us launch specific digital campaigns to support grant applications and recruitment drives.
We are looking for a creative thinker who values clarity over jargon and wants to help us build a permanent, expert structure for neurodivergent support.
