Business Analyst - Data & Analytics *Market Data* | Energy Trading | £800/Day Inside IR35
Business Analyst with strong experience working with complex data sets & responsible for data provisioning - bringing in market data (Prices, FX, Rates), as well as historical & real-time data, is needed for a Commodities & Energy Trading firm. This is an opportunity for a Data orientated Business Analyst to work in a fast-paced, high energy, trading environment.
This Data Business Analyst role will sit working across the firms product portfolio including both Derivatives and Physicals trading of Oil, Gas, Power, LNG & other products. As the firm continue to onboard new desks, acquire new traders & expand their trading portfolio across continents, there is a need for a Data Orientated Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for enhancing and optimising the use of Commodity & Energy data across the Trading IT offering, providing data-orientated technical expertise to the front office.
Data Business Analyst:
Up to £800/Day Inside IR35
Marylebone, Kings Cross, Baker Street - closest stations
6 months rolling - long term
2 days per week in office
APIs, Python, SQL, Data visualisation, Automation.
Ability to conduct technical analysis (e.g., API connectivity with exchanges using tools such as Postman), and work with real-time data.
With a new market data prodiver & Off-the-shelf trading systems, as a Data Business Analyst you'll be expected to drive a better understanding of the value of data with stakeholders and users and contribute to improvements in data management and data quality. Working with complex data sets.
Experience needed for the Data Business Analyst:
* Experience working with market data providers (e.g., ZEMA, Refinitiv PointConnect, Bloomberg) is advantageous.
* Ability to conduct technical analysis (e.g., API connectivity with exchanges using tools such as Postman), and work with real-time data.
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Power BI, Tableau).
* Proficient in data analysis for various data formats (e.g., JSON, CSV, SQL).
