Your role
The HR Business Partner reports to the Directors and is responsible for providing an efficient and comprehensive HR service to the business. Working in conjunction with the HR Consultant and the Directors to help deliver our ambitious business plan, the HR business partner will be responsible for a wide range of people-related activities; providing advice and support on general HR topics and ensuring our activities are performed in line with internal policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Specifically, you will:
* Be the local point of people expertise, providing advice and guidance on HR issues, HR policies and employee relations
* Provide comprehensive support for the recruitment process in partnership with our dedicated resourcing partner
* Prepare HR documents including employment contracts, offer letters and any changes to terms and conditions
* Working in collaboration with line managers, support employee onboarding and induction activities and provide a seamless transition into the business for all new starters
* Manage the leaver process, gathering meaningful feedback and ensuring this is communicated to management teams so any useful feedback can be acted upon
* Take responsibility for the review and updating of company HR policies to ensure they are always up to date and relevant to current legislation
* Lead the implementation and ongoing management of a company HR system and ensure all information is appropriately retained
* Work closely with the Directors to support internal communication activities and the development of the business culture and engagement initiatives
* Conduct data analysis, to look at trends as well as providing reporting to the Directors as required
* Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and policies
* Provide coaching and support to line managers to empower them to own the HR processes for their people in areas such as recruitment, learning and development, discipline, conflict management and absence management
About you
To join us as our HR Business Partner you will need:
* Level 5 CIPD qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ HR experience
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced HR department, providing comprehensive HR advice on people issues and challenges
* A strong people focus, with a passion for supporting growth and development at the individual, team and broader company level
* Proven experience of handling mediation, discipline and grievance situations
* Experience of using HR software systems, with experience of system implementation desirable.
* Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
* Excellent organisational skills and an ability to multi-task within a fast-paced organisation
* Ability to build effective relationships with line managers and employees
* Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft excel and word
* Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
* Ability to research, evaluate and analyse new recruitment techniques, methods, and procedures
