Job Description
Facilities Domestic Assistant - 15 hours per week - rolling rota to include one weekend in three.
Undertake a range of cleaning duties within the Hospital Premises, cleaning to a very high standard, including:
* Cleaning consultant and clinical areas as well as offices.
* Collecting linen stores as required.
* Complying with infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
* Complying with responsibility to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.
* Vacuuming carpets, ensuring cleanliness.
* Damp dusting of furniture and fittings at high and low levels.
* Mopping floor areas and maintaining floors using electrical equipment when necessary.
* Checking electrical equipment is in good condition and currently PAT tested.
* Cleaning toilets, baths and washbasins.
* Emptying all bins and disposing of waste appropriately, ensuring waste management regulations are followed.
* Cleaning equipment after use.
* Assisting with ward or departmental duties as appropriate.
* Undertaking first wipe cleaning of bodily fluids as required.
* Guarding against the potential risk associated with needle stick injuries, especially in toilet areas.
* Wearing uniform and protective clothing provided, as instructed.
* Ensuring attendance at appropriate training.
