About the Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality support within the classroom. You will help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where pupils feel valued, understood, and empowered to learn.
Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils remain focused, confident, and involved in classroom activities.
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and personal care routines as required.
Use a range of strategies to promote independence, resilience, and positive coping skills.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to boost wellbeing and participation.
Help maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
Contribute to personalised learning plans and adapt support strategies to meet each pupil’s needs.

Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
