Job Summary
We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.
This post is based within our Education Directorate. You will be responsible for delivering effective teaching services to children and young people attending Largs Academy. The start date for this position is August 2025. Current Probationers can apply, subject to achieving the standard for full GTCS registration.

As part of the selection process, you are required to provide ONE completed reference alongside your application form. References will be read in conjunction with your application. Applicants who do not submit references on time may be at a disadvantage, as additional points are awarded for a satisfactory reference (0 points for no reference, up to 6 points for a very strong reference). The second referee will be contacted if you are the preferred candidate.

This position is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. It is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.

If successful, your name and email will be entered into the Disclosure Scotland PVG system to generate your PVG form, which will be sent to your email with instructions to complete it.
