Casual Personal Care Assistant £13.71/hr in Dudley - Dudley - DY3. Are you a care assistant looking to make a real difference in someone\'s life? We have an opportunity for a friendly care assistant to join one of our small, supportive teams in the Wombourne area. This is a varied but really rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Although MDN experience is desirable, the right person for this role will have a general care background and a desire to progress into complex care or someone already working in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be proactive and use their initiative whilst on shift to support the team in this busy role.

We support individual clients in their own homes. Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person centered care to really make a difference in our clients lives. You\'ll only be working with one client which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day.

Responsibilities
* Cover shifts, holidays and absence; work 1:1 with the client and alongside another carer for 1-2 hour double ups.
* Provide personal care as required and support with daily routines
* Move and handle including hoisting where needed
* Meal preparation and assistance with feeding
* Medication preparation and administering
* Housework including grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, maintenance and some gardening (as needed)
* Provide companionship and support to attend outside activities or appointments

* £13.71 per hour
* Various shift patterns between 8am-10pm
* Contracted hours 25 hours per week
* Time & a half on Bank Holidays
* Every other weekend off

Experience and qualifications
* All aspects of personal care
* Moving and handling including hoisting
* Meal preparation and assistance with feeding
* Medication preparation and administering
* Housework including grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, maintenance and some gardening
* Companionship (conversations, watching TV, games/hobbies)
* Supporting client to attend outside activities/appointments in a wheelchair
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
Additional requirements
A car driver is strongly preferred and Personal Assistants should be confident driving an adapted automatic vehicle and using an electric power wheelchair. If you have relevant skills and experience, you may be suitable.
Due to the nature of the role, a DBS check will be required prior to start date unless you have a DBS on the update service for the relevant sector (adult enhanced).
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You must also have eligibility to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship.
