SENCo – About the role/school
We are an Ofsted “Good” secondary school serving a diverse community in Manchester. Our leadership team sets high expectations and clear policies to support both students and staff.
Key facts about the position:
* Permanent role starting September 2026
* Working hours: MPS – UPS + one hour (TLR1)
* Required qualification: NPQ / NASENCO award essential or already in progress
Responsibilities
* Make significant contributions to whole‑school planning and development.
* Ensure pupils with SEND receive a first‑class education and are prepared for their next steps.
* Develop and coordinate links within the school, the local authority, and other external agencies.
* Lead a team of LSA/TA and HLTA’s.
* Play a key role in developing inclusion across the school.
