Say hello to the NDA group graduate programme – Sellafield Direct Entry
Graduates are fundamental to our future. Our programme focuses on supporting talented and ambitious graduates to build a first-class foundation for a rewarding career in the nuclear sector.
Sellafield is the only site in the country that can safely manage all forms of nuclear waste, with our teams finding new ways to ensure it is kept safe until a permanent disposal facility is ready. We are also guardians of the UK's largest stockpile of nuclear materials.
In the past, we have been responsible for breakthroughs such as the world's first full-scale commercial nuclear power station, and today we are helping secure the country's future by safely receiving and storing spent nuclear fuel from the UK's fleet of power stations.
As a Sellafield Direct Entry graduate,you will be given the unique opportunity to experience multiple secondments within Sellafield Limited, accelerating your expertise in your chosen discipline, and learning from leading experts on work that has real impact. You will also participate in a core programme of behavioural development to enhance your skills and professional expertise and network with peers within Sellafield.
As a Programme / Project Management & Controls (PPM&C) Graduate, during your time on the programme you will be given the unique opportunity to undertake secondments and gain experience in Project Control, Programme Management, and Project Management teams across Sellafield Ltd, learning from leading experts on work that has real impact.
In addition to participating in a core programme of behavioural development to enhance your skills and professional expertise, you will also undertake the Project Management Qualification (PMQ) which is a key aspect of the Association for Project Management suite of professional qualifications, as well as a number of related training modules.
Our nuclear site houses some of the most technically challenging facilities in the world and the work to decommission them requires world-leading project capabilities. There are hundreds of projects across the site, many of which are first of a kind, led by our project and programme management teams. These all contribute to the success of our mission, that lasts well into the next century, and are delivered in a stimulating, highly regulated and complex environment requiring advanced levels of stakeholder engagement.
With projects and programmes including:
* Major infrastructure and construction projects
* Decontamination and decommissioning projects
* The implementation of innovative new technology
* The delivery of plans that benefit our local communities and environments
* The realisation of strategic programmes and business transformation initiatives
Joining the PPM&C function you will play a pivotal role at the forefront of a wide array of projects and programmes across the business. We can and will help you develop your commercial, management, leadership, analytical, financial, planning and risk management skills in an organisation that is the only one of its kind in the UK.
