Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Waste, Resources & Movement Team and lead a team that is driving work in Hazardous Waste and Carriers, Brokers & Dealers for the Environment Agency.
As a leader you will be enthusiastic, well‑organised and able to inspire and develop others. You will require excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with dispersed networks.
In addition to leading your own team you will support cross‑cutting work and set the standards for leadership across the department in areas such as health, safety, wellbeing, performance management, and workforce planning.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team focused on shaping waste legislation; ensure legislation is fit for purpose for regulators, operators and all regulated parties.
• Write guidance and operational instructions.
• Deliver timely results through others and demonstrate strong project management capabilities.
• Set and maintain standards for leadership across the department.
