About the Role
We are recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants for day-to-day supply work through an agency in schools and alternative provisions across the Winchester area. You will support children and young people aged 4–17 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing flexible cover on both short-notice and pre-booked assignments.
This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work, varied school settings, or to gain further experience across different SEN environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
* Support pupils’ learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing
* Follow school guidance, pupil support plans, and agency policies
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
* Assist with personal care where required (training provided)
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
About You
Patient, caring, and adaptable
* Experience working with children or young people (education, care, or youth work experience preferred; SEN experience desirable but not essential)
* Confident in settling quickly into new settings
* Strong communication skills and a professional approach
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
