As part of our growth plan and our continued retention of key contracts with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) we are recruiting a new Family Engagement Worker to join our team at HMP Stocken. We are looking for an individual who is able to demonstrate outstanding customer service, show they have built sustaining relationships with others such as service users/customers/other agencies, have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, are able to show their planning and organising ability and are able to facilitate play/activities for children of different ages. An ability to use IT systems will also be required. Full training and development will be provided so that the successful candidate will be able to provide relevant independent advice and guidance to all individuals accessing family services, including children, families and prisoners. The successful person will use their skills and knowledge to determine levels of support required, review progress, deliver regular themed family days and play interventions for children whilst positively interacting with other agencies, being aware of risk and risk management and collecting evidence required for contract monitoring. Candidates will also have a minimum of NVQ4 Advice and Guidance or a willingness to work towards this qualification after conclusion of a successful probation period. Candidates will have the right to work in the UK, a full, valid car licence will be required and access to a vehicle including insurance for business use. There may be ad-hoc cover required on a weekend so flexibility will be required.
