As part of our growth plan and our continued retention of key contracts with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) we are recruiting a new Family Engagement Worker to join our team at HMP Stocken. ​​ We are looking for an individual who is able to demonstrate outstanding customer service, show they have built sustaining relationships with others such as service users/customers/other agencies, have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, are able to show their planning and organising ability and are able to facilitate play/activities for children of different ages. An ability to use IT systems will also be required. ​​ Full training and development will be provided so that the successful candidate will be able to provide relevant independent advice and guidance to all individuals accessing family services, including children, families and prisoners. ​​ The successful person will use their skills and knowledge to determine levels of support required, review progress, deliver regular themed family days and play interventions for children whilst positively interacting with other agencies, being aware of risk and risk management and collecting evidence required for contract monitoring. ​​ We would also like to think that you are passionate about our five core values and can demonstrate this: ​​ Achievement – Empowerment - Inspiration – Quality – Respect ​​ Moreover, safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and equality of opportunity are important to us and we would like to believe that they are just as important to you. We will expect all candidates to demonstrate knowledge in these areas. ​​ Candidates will also have a minimum of NVQ4 Advice and Guidance or a willingness to work towards this qualification after conclusion of a successful probation period. ​​ Candidates will have the right to work in the UK, a full, valid car licence will be required and access to a vehicle including insurance for business use. ​​ There may be ad-hoc cover required on a weekend so flexibility will be required. ​​ Our Benefits​ - a friendly and rewarding work environment​ - a competitive salary £27,615 (full time 37 hours) for those with a relevant NVQ4 or equivalent vocational qualification.​ - A trainee salary scale is also available £23,492 (37 hours) and a salary of £24,399 (37 hours) for those with a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent.​ - a 6% employer pension contribution ​ - a minimum of 33 days annual leave per year including statutory holidays, increasing to by one day per full year of service to a maximum of 38 days ​ - holiday buy back scheme​ - access to a non-contributory cash back health scheme and well-being service ​ - access to a reward gateway​ - payment of mileage expenses as HMRC current rate​ - ongoing commitment to training and development​ ​ We aim at all times to attain best safeguarding practice throughout all of our Services. ​​ The post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with child barred list and prison vetting. ​ A job description and person specification can be found here. ​ A bit about us​ Lincolnshire Action Trust (LAT) is a registered charity that works with individuals who are in contact with the criminal justice system across Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.
