Job Description: Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant
Polar Speed, a UPS company, is a logistics provider specializing in temperature-sensitive transportation and pharmaceutical supply chain solutions in the UK.
Location: Polarspeed Distribution Ltd, Site 1, Chartmoor Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 4WG
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, between 08:00 – 16:30 or 09:30 - 18:00
Salary: £25,356.54

The company specializes in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers, medical surgeries, and end patients through its homecare business. Its clients include some of the most renowned pharmaceutical brands worldwide.
Role Overview: As a Dispensing Assistant in our in-house pharmacy, you will label and dispense homecare prescriptions, maintain accurate medication records, and support the dispensary's smooth operation.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, between 08:00 and 18:00, on a split shift basis. Flexibility to work additional hours is required to meet urgent service needs.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 Dispensary qualification is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided, and you will work towards NVQ Level 2 certification.

Key Responsibilities:
* Label and dispense prescriptions
* Maintain accurate patient medication records
* Dispense prescriptions in accordance with MEP guidelines
* Manage dispensary stationery and standards
* Ensure stock management compliance
* Manage fridge temperatures
* Support dispensary operations
Skills and Knowledge:
* Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
* Patient-focused approach, capable of self-auditing and responsibility acceptance
Essential Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services Skills (Dispensing) or equivalent, and knowledge of specific homecare therapies.
