The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Transport Planner to join our Courier Management team, supporting the optimisation of InPost’s end-to-end transport flows.
Based remotely, you’ll work in a fast-paced, data-led environment, collaborating closely with Transport, Warehouse, Commercial, and Operations teams. You’ll play a key role in shaping how parcels move through our network—from partner handover and trunking, through hubs and depots, to final-mile delivery into lockers, to door and PUDO locations.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their network planning experience, contribute to sustainability-driven logistics, and be directly involved in the continued evolution of InPost’s locker-first model.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Planning and optimising transport schedules that support locker-first and out-of-home delivery flows
* Using transport planning and routing tools (e.g. Paragon) to produce daily, tactical, and strategic transport plans
* Building and modelling “what-if” scenarios to support network growth, locker density expansion, and new partner onboarding
* Balancing customer demand, warehouse capacity, vehicle utilisation, and service level requirements
* Supporting vehicle productivity, route efficiency, and contingency planning, with a focus on reducing empty miles and emissions
* Analysing transport and operational data to identify efficiency and sustainability improvement opportunities
* Producing dashboards, summaries, and KPI reports to support decision-making
* Working with depots and transport teams on continuous improvement initiatives
* Communicating transport plans and changes clearly across internal teams and key stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
* Experience or exposure to transport planning, routing, or network optimisation (parcel, retail, or e-commerce logistics preferred)
* Knowledge of routing software such as Paragon (or similar tools)
* Strong UK & Ireland geographical knowledge
* Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, and analysis (Excel essential)
* A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a genuine interest in sustainable logistics
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
* Strong attention to detail and a collaborative, professional approach
