Join a fast-growing, national engineering contractor delivering high-quality Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services across complex construction and refurbishment projects. We're actively recruiting an experienced M&E Project Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering engineering excellence from concept to completion.
The Role
As the M&E Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of mechanical and electrical building services projects. From technical design and planning to installation and handover, you'll work closely with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage M&E projects from pre-construction through to handover
Commission, organise, and assess the work of subcontractors and delivery teams
Develop and negotiate contracts with clients and stakeholders
Produce and review technical plans and CAD drawings
Utilise and develop Building Information Modelling (BIM) to coordinate complex systems
Monitor and control budgets using life cycle costing techniques
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, health & safety, and environmental standards
Liaise with internal teams and external professionals throughout all project stages
Advise on energy efficiency and sustainability to reduce project carbon footprints
The Candidate
We are seeking a highly competent and qualified Project Manager with strong experience in M&E services within the construction or refurbishment sectors.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven track record managing mechanical and electrical projects
HNC, Degree, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Proficient in CAD, project planning tools, and ideally BIM
Strong commercial awareness and budget management capabilities
Ability to manage stakeholders and deliver under pressure
Willing to travel nationwide as projects require
