Cloud Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, building and running cloud-native systems at scale.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Design and build cloud-native systems using infrastructure as code and GitOps principles.
* Develop high-throughput Kubernetes clusters (EKS) with service mesh, policy enforcement and self-service tooling.
* Own CI/CD pipelines from commit to production, creating automated tests, image scanning and progressive roll-outs.
* Build end-to-end observability (metrics, traces, logs, alerts) for system health.
* Champion security and compliance, including secrets management, zero-trust networking and least-privilege IAM.
* Partner with AI and product engineers to shape runtime environments and data pipelines for large-scale model serving.
* Continuously tune reliability and cost through chaos testing, capacity planning and proactive incident response.
Requirements:
* Deep cloud mastery with AWS, including networking, IAM, storage and compute.
* Strong experience with containers and orchestration, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux.
* Comfort with infrastructure as code, for example well-structured Terraform modules, policy as code and reusable patterns.
* Advocacy for CI/CD, building pipelines in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or CircleCI with automated tests and security gates.
* An observability and SRE mindset, using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or ELK and OpenTelemetry.
* A security-first but pragmatic approach, covering secrets management, image provenance and zero-trust networking.
* Proficiency in at least one systems language (Go, Python or Java) and familiarity with modern event-driven architectures.
* The ability to explain complex concepts in plain English to executives, customers and non-technical colleagues.
What We Offer:
* Competitive salary range £90,000 - £110,000.
* Hybrid flexibility, with collaboration in person for important work and remote working the rest of the time.
* Private healthcare, pension scheme and an annual off-site to disconnect and recharge.
* Visa sponsorship available for exceptional talent eligible to work in the UK.
* Opportunity to define the engineering culture and leave your mark on technology that could reshape a vast market.
Interview Process:
Following an initial screening call, the interview process will include a video chat with our founding CTO, a take-home architectural exercise and a paid half-day on-site in our central London workspace.
