Senior Systems Engineer
Location: North LondonEmployment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team working on innovative technology projects. This role covers the full systems engineering lifecycle—from concept through to delivery and acceptance. You’ll collaborate across multiple disciplines and contribute to the design, integration, and testing of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.
* Design, integrate, and test systems across software, mechanical, and electrical domains.
* Produce accurate technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
* Provide mentoring support to junior colleagues.
* Engage with customers and stakeholders in a professional, customer-facing capacity.
* Travel as required for project needs.
Essential Requirements
* Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in systems design, integration, and test.
* Strong understanding of product lifecycles from concept to delivery.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* UK driving licence and eligibility for UK security clearance.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of radar or radio systems.
* Familiarity with communications protocols (RS485, RS232, TCP-IP, CANBus).
* Experience with external verification standards (MIL STD, Def Stan, IEC).
* Hands-on experience with test equipment and fault-finding.
* Professional membership (IET, INCOSE, etc.).
