Our client is seeking a passionate Consultant in Stroke Medicine to become part of their leading stroke service. You’ll be joining a progressive, collaborative team at a centre of excellence recognised for its state-of-the-art Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and commitment to world-class patient outcomes.

What you’ll do…
* Deliver consultant-led acute stroke care: front door referrals, HASU and ASU ward rounds, and structured handovers
* Lead and participate in daily TIA and stroke follow-up clinics
* Contribute to a 1:14 regional out-of-hours on-call rota (telemedicine-based) and 1:7 weekend HASU ward rounds
* Take an active role in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, goal-setting, and complex case management
* Supervise, teach, and mentor junior doctors, medical students, and allied health professionals
* Engage in quality improvement projects, clinical audit, and research (with opportunities for Principal Investigator roles)
* Collaborate with other consultants, managers, and Trust leadership to develop and implement innovative stroke pathways
What you’ll bring…
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
* Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview)
* Relevant clinical experience in stroke medicine and acute care
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

* Enthusiasm for service development, education, and multidisciplinary teamwork
