Occupational Therapist – and Social Communication Assessment pathway (Edgware Hospital, Barnet)
Responsibilities
* Assess children aged 0‑7 for possible autism using the ADOS and/or other appropriate assessment tools.
* Liaise with MDT members (paediatricians, speech and language therapists, psychologists, dieticians, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals) to consider outcomes and give families feedback.
* Write high‑quality clinical reports.
* Engage with community providers and Experts by Experience to provide a holistic approach to care.
Qualifications
* Experienced Occupational Therapist with prior autism assessment and diagnosis in children 0‑6/7.
* ADOS‑2 trained.
* Considerable experience in multidisciplinary neuro‑developmental assessment clinics.
* Ability to work effectively and flexibly within an interdisciplinary framework.
Team
This role is part of the TAASC Barnet team for children 0‑7, where a needs‑led, family‑centred approach to assessment and diagnosis is delivered.
