Business Development Associate – London, UK As a Business Development Associate, based at our London office, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new client opportunities, developing lead pipelines, and generating new revenue. As an integral part of Convera’s Sales team, there will be a focus on acquiring new business in regions and/or industries with the highest potential for development. You will target a range of companies in terms of industry/scope/size, with an eye on industries that hold untapped potential. Through client assessment, you will apply best practices to identify service and product opportunities. You will work closely alongside Business Development Managers to enhance Convera’s presence in various business sectors. You will be responsible for: Contacting potential clients to qualify their needs and arrange follow-up meetings for our business development team Achieving daily, quarterly, and annual targets Using commercial awareness to demonstrate our value proposition to prospective customers Educating prospects to determine potential strategy and service fits for their business Ensuring that the quality and quantity of meetings meets our established standards Ensuring that effective working relationships are maintained with Business Development Managers, with frequent collaboration on targeted client campaigns Remaining fully conversant with the organization’s products and services Accurately updating / maintaining data and records, and ensure they are followed through in accordance with departmental procedures and SLAs Promoting the Convera brand and solutions services Providing a first-class service to customers both internal and external Working as a team member, encouraging and supporting others You should apply if you have: A minimum of 12 months experience in an outbound telephone sales or similar role preferred A proven track record of achieving established targets, identifying new sales opportunities, and delivering client solutions Experience in using data to drive performance and impactful customer outreach Effective time management skills Drive to build commercial and product knowledge Effective time management skills Excellent communication, conversational, and listening skills Strong interpersonal skills to lead and build positive relationships - both internally and across the customer base Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills in all approaches Full fluency in English Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, sales, or relevant field preferred About Convera Convera is the largest non-bank B2B cross-border payments company in the world.
